it's the weekend, finally!
thursday:
debra & i missed the free ice cream at island creamery, cos we reached the bus stop at 3 on the dot ): so we lunched at mad jack's. some sji boy from my batch in st mary's ( i can't remember his name) was there with his friends playing poker cards. weird!
i told my drums teacher that i saw him at st mary's on sunday, and then found out that he goes there too, ohmygosh. it's so weird that he's a catholic, hahaha. and because the spring under his snare drum was spoilt or something, he took the opportunity to play us snippets of different types of music. like african, indian, malay, chinese, lion dance, stevie wonder, michael buble. he is seriously damn cool. and then he played we will rock you!
drums teacher (dt): jerrick (jerick?), you guitar player right, what's the name of this song?
jerrick (jerick?): queen. erm, we will... we will rock... WE WILL ROCK YOU
dt: yah, what's the name of the singer?
jerrick (jerick?): i don't know
dt: shaun, what's the name of the singer?
shaun: i don't know, i only know that he's gay
dt: aiyah, who cares about whether he's gay or not! anybody knows his name?
*silence*
shaun: FRANK MERCURY
dt: freddie mercury lah, what frank mercury! eh, ya'll are drummers now, you need to know your music!
and all this time i'm like "-.-" because it's supposed to be their era!
oh my, i'm seriously gonna miss my drums teacher. he's so cool! he was asking me info on my individual classes, and then he said "don't worry lah huh, it'll be the same thing". hahaha, how cute.
friday:
jacqueline, alyssa and i brought our buddies + vishalani & cleris' buddies to orchard after school. so we got off the escalator at the orchard mrt, and they kinda were blocking the way. some hot ang moh guy that jacqueline & i were both staring at during the train ride went "smart smart, just go ahead and stand right there". so malu! anyway, we brought them to far east. they all wanted to go see different things, and they thought that even the $10 clothes were expensive, so it was damn difficult bringing them around. and then jacqueline's buddy wanted to buy an ipod, so i brought her to wheelock. she was so cute! her mum called and she wanted me to speak to her mum, so i did but i didn't understand a thing! anyway, the apple store didn't have the 1-gig nano that she wanted, sadly. so then i grabbed a burger from bk to eat cos i didn't have lunch and all, and she grabbed fries, and we went to eat outside lido while waiting for the rest. and then she told me "i wish i was your buddy", which was so sweet! but yeah, i wish she was my buddy too because veena & geetha are so weird! anyway, mdm saras told us to report back to school at 4.45 and we were freaking out cos by the time both groups (me & jacqueline's buddy + the rest) met at the orchard mrt station, it was already 4.45. and we reached school at like, 5.15 and realised that we were the only ones back in school! and we were so pissed, because everyone else kept to mrs yousoff's instructions to get back at 5.30 while we were the only group who heard mdm saras. and we felt so bad when everyone came back, cos all their buddies bought many things. apparently their buddies LOVED tp central, which jacqueline, alyssa and i refused to bring our buddies to because we thought it'd suck. and in our group, probably only 3 people bought 1 thing each ):
drama night was okay. i didn't really understand the 1st mini-thing put up by the lower sec. but miss mara was there!!!!! with her cute lil' daughter. and i wanted to go up and hug her or something, but i couldn't find anyone else from class, how sad. with the reception and everything, we ended at like, 8.40, and i was so damn tired cos i'd been out the whole day + the whole of thursday. desserts at holland v with the sisters after that (: i love desserts! and i found out how nice acs international was.
farewell lunch for the cluny girls at 11.15 on sunday in boat quay. i told mrs yousoff that i could only go at 12 cos of church. i think i might show up at 11.15 after all. i can't make up my mind whether to leave cat. class halfway, or to pon the whole thing :/
oh yeah, apparently the cluny principal & teachers are kinda unsatisfied with us. with s'pore, with our school system. so, the way things work in india & s'pore are completely different lah, but the whole point of this twinning programme was for the cultural exchange what! sheesh.
this is probably the longest post ever, cool.
